The Santa Claus Foundation TM
|
The Santa Claus Foundation advocates for the 2 million children in the United States annually who are abused, neglected, exploited, abandoned, homeless, and institutionalized through no fault of their own. Annually, 1 out of 37 children in our great nation fall into these categories. Over time, these vulnerable children in dire circumstances become adults -- an estimated 50 million!

Santa spent a week in June 2008 in Indianapolis with the Federal Emergency Management Agency Community Relations Team 8, responding to flood-effected counties. The last time Santa served FEMA was in response to hurricanes Katrina and Rita.
|
Santa joined Save the Children's Advocacy Day in Washington, DC, in June 2008 to discuss the childhood obesity epidemic with Members of Congress, helping garner numerous co-sponsors for HR 2677, The Improved Nutrition and Physical Activity Act (IMPACT). Currently, more than 30% of children in the US are overweight or obese, ruining their physical and emotional health and costing the US more than $117 BILLION in 2008 alone.
Photographed are U.S. Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid, Senator John Ensign, Representative Dean Heller, and Save the Children Ambassador Michael Klosson.
